We’re CPRE Hampshire, the countryside charity and part of the national CPRE countryside charity network which has a local CPRE group in every county. CPRE campaigns to promote, enhance and protect the countryside for everyone’s benefit, wherever they live. Our vision is for a beautiful and thriving countryside that enriches all our lives. We work with communities, businesses and government to find positive and lasting ways to help the countryside thrive - today and for generations to come. In Hampshire, we: • Raise awareness of the countryside as vital for health and wellbeing. • Celebrate and support businesses that give back to the local countryside. • Support communities across the county to have their say on developments and changes in their local area. • Call for homes that local people can afford to be built in the right places across Hampshire. • Work with local government and other organisations to promote planning policies that make the best use of land. • Encourage care of our fields and hedgerows to help protect landscapes and wildlife. CPRE Hampshire was registered as a charity in 1966. We have around 1,700 members, a team of hard-working volunteers and a small staff team. We’re active across the county with six voluntary district groups and a branch office in Winchester. The charity depends entirely on public support.
