Cracked Pots is a group of artists and community members passionate about reducing waste and finding creative possibility in what others see as "trash."A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we have worked in our Portland-area community since 1999 to inspire creative reuse of items too often sent to the landfill. Our programs send the powerful message that much of what is discarded still has value.Our volunteers visit the Transfer Station to rescue items already thrown away, prevent them from ending up in the landfill, and then clean and repair them to be returned to the community through our store ReClaim It.Our goal is to reduce the amount of material that ends up at the landfill and to educate the public about ways to reduce waste.
