Cracking Energy Machines Limited specialise in the development of equipment that processes materials with complex organic molecules such as end of life tyres or waste plastics into simpler molecules by breaking the carbon-carbon bonds; i.e. the breakdown of long chain hydrocarbons to shorter ones. This patented technology is not pyrolysis, the process is called ‘thermodynamic cracking' and uniquely operates mechanically, the outputs being a synthetic diesel, a synthetic gas and carbon all of which are saleable commodities. Because the process is mechanically based it is very effective and efficient requiring very little power to operate, and uniquely in the waste to energy arena it produces zero emissions.
