The purpose of the Model United Nations program is to prepare young people for moral and political leadership by familiarizing them with the international arena through a simulation of the workings of the United Nations. The aim of the conference is to teach young adults to resolve issues that the world faces today, through compromise and cooperation; and allow students to represent a nation's political, social and economic interests through debate and negotiation.KrakMUN is one of few University level Model United Nations conferences in Poland, in addition to a thriving High School level circuit. Started in 2014 by students of the Krakow University of Economics, KrakMUN has grown to be an important stop on the Polish MUN circuit, and has in its 4 past editions hosted nearly 500 domestic and international delegates.
