Healthcare Facility/Healthcare Services - Bucyrus, OH, US
The Crawford County Board of Health was established the Crawford County Health Department in August 1919 to serve the local townships and villages. In 2002, the City of Bucyrus contracted to join our department to provide comprehensive public health services to Bucyrus City residents as well. In 2015, the agency name and logo was changed to Crawford County Public Health (CCPH) to more accurately reflect our services. Crawford County Public Health is committed to working hard to ensure the people that live, work, or even just pass through Crawford County can live healthy and be safe. Just a few of the ways we do this is by conducting food safety inspections of local restaurants and stores, providing immunizations to protect the population from preventable diseases, offering home visits by nurses and social workers to ensure our youngest community members are thriving, providing nutrition education to help families provide optimal meal choices, and collecting water samples from private drinking wells. The role of public health is very widespread and we are a staff dedicated to providing services that improve the health of our communities, promote healthy living, and protect against public health threats through education, program delivery, policies, and community partnerships.
