Our research objective is to change how we design and use robots. Firstly, to develop new fabrication methods for improved capabilities for robots – looking at how we make increasing complex, multi-material sensorized structures that allow for human-like intelligent environmental interactions. The second goal is to use robots for large scale physical experimentation to understand complex phenomena or physical occurrances, and to allow for data-driven design methods to be applied. For example, to explore and understand the complexities of taste in cooking, or to optimize complex agricultural and biological systems.Check out our Twitter account, @EPFL_CREATE.
