stablished in 1992 in Beirut, CSC is currently a Principal Member of MasterCard International and Visa International providing issuing & acquiring services to banks and institutions in the Middle Eastern, Asian and African regions.CSC has a relationship for cash and retail acquiring with American Express and a relationship for cash and retail acquiring with JCB (the largest Far Eastern card scheme). Today, CSC operates with a fully paid capital of 15 Billion Lebanese Pounds (approximately USD 10 million counter value) and a shareholder's equity of over USD 20 million while the Balance Sheet is in excess of USD 90 million. CSC currently employs more than 230 dedicated and highly educated employees with over 10 years of cumulative experience in the cards and electronic payments industry, and uses state of the art technology at a cost of around USD10 million. This staff has allowed CSC to grow from its base in Lebanon to cover the Levant, North Africa and West Africa. CSC presently services more than 80 banks and institutions in 26 countries including: Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Djibouti, Qatar, Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Oman, Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast and CFA countries, and on behalf of which CSC manages over 1,000 different product permutations (debit, charge, credit, pre-paid, virtual) with various brands (MasterCard and family, Visa and family and Private Label or Proprietary) and supports over 25 different currencies (including US Dollar, Euro, LBP, JOD, EGP, CFA Francs, Kenyan Shillings, Yemeni Riyal, Qatari Riyal, Saudi Riyal, Syrian Pound and British Sterling). CSC also provides its bank clients and cardholders with privileged ATM access in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE countries, by connecting the CSC Network to the GCCNetwork.
