Our primary objective is to give voice to the "other" Americas (Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, South America, US ethnic-linguistic minorities) which know articulated paths of evolution, between permanences and transformations, facing the challenges of contemporary globalization through the promotion and the development of multidisciplinary research activities in the field of dialectology, cultural, literary and historical-geographical studies concerning the Romance area of the American continent. Our research guidelines are: - Analysis of the different Romance linguistic and literary forms in predominantly English-speaking realities. - Diachronic and synchronic study of phenomena of languages and contact cultures in places of origin as well as in migratory contexts, indigenous and aphrodiasporic ones. - Historical, geographical, cultural study of Romance- based Creole languages and cultures also in European, African and Asian contexts.
