The Crisis Center for Religious Women was established in order to provide emotional support and advice for women and children who are in crisis. These women would not turn to existing crisis centers due to the religious issues involved, and therefore, most were unable to receive vital help and support. The Crisis Center for Religious Women has set the following goals for itself: 1) To help women and children overcome crisis through emotional support by telephone; 2) To establish workshops which would provide information concerning the problems of abuse, violence and rape, in order to prevent future occurrences; 3) To improve the relations between the religious communities and the institutions functioning within the areas of police, health, education and law.
