Croatian Youth Hostel Association is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation founded back in 1953. in order to promote the hostelling mission in Croatia and encourage young people to explore and appreciate the rich natural and cultural heritage of Croatia. Today we are even more dedicated to promote friendship and international understanding by supporting the development of quality youth hostels and providing travel services for individual travellers and groups from Croatia and the world. Croatian Youth Hostel Association is a full member of Hostelling International, the world's largest backpacker and budget accommodation network providing more than 4.000 hostels in over 80 countries. We are also members of the European Union Federation of Youth Hostel Associations (EUFED), which represents 19 youth hostel associations across 16 European Countries and member of European Youth Card Association (EYCA) which is committed to promoting youth mobility and active citizenship to more than 6 million cardholders worldwide.Within Croatian Youth Hostel Association network there are 15 youth hostels and 3 regional information and travel offices in the cities of Zagreb, Split and Osijek providing services to individuals and groups during their travels in Croatia or abroad.We are dedicated to advance the education, for the public benefit and particularly through travelling, by helping all, but especially young people, to experience and contribute the countryside, environment, natural and cultural heritage of Croatia and all other countries in the world. In today's world we like to make an impact and contribute for greater understanding and respect of different regions, countries, people and their cultures.In order to achieve our mission we provide low cost and quality accommmodation in our youth hostels, assist and help individual travellers and different types of groups in creating theri travel and educational itineraries. Every year we organize a number of activities, social inclusion and non-formal educational programmes involving young participants from Croatia and other countries.Our activities are organized with the support and help of many partners and donators who wish to work with us and who support our charitable objectives and the values of youth hostelling.
