In cooperation with Colorado State University and SCRI grants through the USDA, the developers of Crop Data Network, LLC were contracted to manage pricing information for - and engage in outreach with - North American Farmers. By working with various private and public organizations including the USDA, Colorado State University, Virginia Tech, Penn State University, GISit, LLC, the Legume ipmPIPE, and the Onion ipmPIPE, Crop Data Network is playing a major role in providing a comprehensive decision support system - the goal of which is to manage mission critical variables that effect crop health and market price.Separately, the purpose and mission of Crop Data Network™, LLC (CDN) is to assist in economic and food security by creating an effective price discovery tool. To that end, CDN will enable international NGO's, farmers, grain elevators, commodity traders, brokers, and international wholesale distributors to manage and track commodity prices, combine those prices with proprietary freight rates, and engage in price comparison analysis. We believe that through effective price transparency and price discovery tools, we are supporting the economic security of our clients. Certainty of price for Farmers, Merchandisers, Brokers & Distributors alike leads to timely decisions, increased cash flow, and economic growth.Crop Data Network™ - "Food & Economic Security through Decision Support."
