With sustainable, renewable products from biomass for a climate-friendly world - that is what we at CropEnergies stand for. Founded in 2006 in Mannheim by the Südzucker Group, we are now Europe's leading producer of renewable ethanol. With a production capacity of 1.3 million m³ of ethanol per year, our plants at locations in Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and France produce neutral alcohol as well as technical alcohol for a wide range of applications. Every day, people use numerous products that were produced from fossil raw materials such as crude oil, coal or natural gas. Sustainably produced ethanol is our answer to the current and future challenges, especially in the transport sector. This is because both bioethanol and the numerous by-products from our highly efficient production plants can replace fossil ingredients in beverage production, cosmetics and pharmaceutical applications such as disinfectants. The fossil carbons stay in the ground and do not drive climate change. In addition, our production process produces protein food and feed to nourish humans and animals. In our circular economy, all raw material components are used. In this way, we are already taking responsibility today for the generations of tomorrow.
