Music - Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain
Crowd Jam Band was a startup designed to be the first virtual music label (for real). The basic concept was to connect songwriters with musicians via our website (system), where the songwriter would be able to hire musicians online, buying their tracks for the original song. Nowadays there are a multitude of music recording products (interfaces, condenser mics, etc) made for people to record their music at home (home studio's market), including recording software that comes bundled with computers, such as the Garage Band (Apple). Thinking about this market, Crowd Jam Band intended to offer a tool to enable and monetize the hobby of many people, which is to record their tracks at their home studio. Over the course of 2 years, 8 songs were recorded and produced through the website but we were unable to complete the system, and due to the lack of resources, CJB was closed. On Spotify, you can still find the songs that have been recorded (search for Rufo Canopus), and if you do listen to them, remember that they were all remotely recorded by people from different countries who do not know each other and have never spoken after all. Music has its own language.
