CrowdGrader lets students upload and collaboratively grade solutions to homework assignments, and brings peer grading to any classroom. Students benefit from the feedback they receive from their peers, and from the motivation that peer feedback provides. Instructors can easily manage large class sizes, while receiving detailed information on how students are learning. CrowdGrader's strength lies in sophisticated algorithms that create incentives for students in providing accurate grades and informative feedback for their peer's work. The algorithms are based on ideas from game theory and reputation systems. CrowdGrader is also designed to be simple and streamlined to use: not another all-encompassing and complex learning management system.CrowdGrader is an offshoot of the research on reputation systems, crowdsourcing, and game theory by Luca de Alfaro and Michael Shavlovsky at UCSC.
