Mobilizing public support to empower access to justice.Mission:Financial barriers should not be a limiting factor in the administration of justice. However, in many cases, Canada's justice system has failed those who are economically disadvantaged. The mission of CrowdLegal is to mobilize public support for empowering access to justice through crowdfunding.History:CrowdLegal is a joint initiative developed by a group of students from the Faculty of Law and the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa. The project was developed through the support of the University's Engineering Capstone project. Today, CrowdLegal has attracted a new wave of students from the faculty of law and the faculty of engineering to join its mission in empowering access to justice.
