Crux Ventures is born from a desire to tackle themes of innovation and disruptive technologies and how they can positively impact the world and especially Brazil.Crux Ventures' DNA has in its core, the understanding that we have more in common with our brothers and sisters around the world than practical differences and that technology together with human creativity will have a positive impact on human life, as clearly demonstrated by the 2018 Nobel Prize in Economics. For this reason, we investigate and help clients all over the world to see Brazil as a reservoir of opportunities and new ideas to resolve global problems. We have analyzed different markets but always focusing on innovative and disruptive technologies that can positively impact the world. However, this is a community effort and we believe it must have a multidisciplinary approach as diversity and opposite world views are the key factor that has pushed humanity to where we are and made us the most successful species so far. So, we must have an open forum. We believe in a much better world is within reach, via the materialization of good intentions and most important positive actions from humankind around the world. Thus we focus on bringing to market new technologies and business models that have a disruptive character in it, so that we all can generate a positive impact for our lives since this bright future we envision, will only happen if we all work together to materialize our positive vision of our future. There is an important collaboration with a former mentor, and now friend, and his team in the US, Dr. Makarand "Chips" Chipalkatti, better known as Dr. Chips, an important executive and consultant; one of the most respected authorities worldwide in LEDs (Solid State Light) and innovation. He was responsible for the change in focus from OSRAM in the '90s and created from scratch the LED division from the first dollar sale to the billions of dollars per year when he left a few years ago.
