Crystal Fractal Comics (CFC) is a Toronto-based comic book publishing company. Created by company founder Derrek Lennox, the mystical stories of the Crystal Fractal Universe (CFU) follow the adventures of the immortal Dr. Twilight and a group of immortal mages known as "The Core." With adventures spanning four centuries and multiple dimensions, there's no shortage of excitement and intrigue as the universe's characters vie for the two most valuable commodities: knowledge and power.To date the company has released six books set within the CFU:-Crystal Fractal Universe #0 (CFU #0)-The Crossing #1-The Crossing #2-Dr. Twilight #1-Entropy #1-Redorik #1In addition to its original properties, CFC is also a forerunner in re-telling the legends and histories of First Nations bands. "The Legend of the Sleeping Giant" is an adaptation of Fort William First Nation's (FWFN) Sleeping Giant story, and is adapted by Dean Burns in cooperation with FWFN and Anemki Mountain Corporation. The 20-page one-shot was released in October 2011 along with a 22-page historical document entitled "Our Traditional Territory and the Duty to Consult," a documentation of FWFN's history and its recent Neebing land claim. These were the first projects in what is hoped to be become a line of comics which work to preserve First Nations culture, celebrate First Nations history, and promote education and literacy in an entertaining and engaging way.
