CSR Capital is a private, Danish development investment company. The aim of CSR Capital is to support local businesses in some of the less developed countries around the world with a strong focus on China. Our philosophy is that good investments can and should help foster development and create the basis for sustainable economic, environmental and social growth and welfare in any society. The company was founded by Troels Holch Povlsen and developed in close cooperation with Sven Riskaer. The purpose is to help the regions and territories that have played an important part in the success of BESTSELLER and the other companies in the Nine United family.From cooling systems for the international shipping industry, rubber tapping and production in southern China to food ingredient processing in Western China; all of CSR Capital's projects are carefully chosen. Frequent visits and closeness to our partners and project sites ensures the right conditions for cooperation - and helps to create a better foundation for further development.In CSR Capital we strive to create companies and workplaces which comply with internationally held principles of good governance within the fields of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.All investments are long term, but made on market conditions, thereby securing the economic sustainability of the investee companies. The investments are carried out by a dedicated team of local and international experts through a hands-on approach, which enables a constructive dialogue between the management and workforce of the investee companies and the management of CSR Capital.Unless continued investment for further consolidation or growth is required, it is CSR Capital's intention to divest from its investee companies after a period of 6-10 years, once they have entered a phase of consolidation and sustained growth. The funds once returned will be used for making new investments.
