Center for Social Research & Development is a Research and Training organization established in the year 1997. CSRD offers interactive and academically rigorous training/courses that help individuals initiate dialogues on social cohesion, gender-equality, reproductive rights, safety and socio-economic development. These are achieved using innovative and experiential based learning techniques such as Applied Theater, self-reflective tools and immersive exercises. Our methodologies are applied in empowering participants to ensure sustainability, quality of life and right to informed choices.Vision :Socio – economic development of marginalized communities and environment protection in rural and urban sectors of India. Mission :We thrive to mobilize various marginalized communities by helping them make informed choices through innovative educational tools on health, safety, capacity building, environment and enhanced livelihood opportunities to ensure a proactive and just society. Methodology :Our training methodologies are rooted in active participation. In order to make the sessions highly interactive and support lasting behavior change, we use experiential techniques such as applied theater, interactive activities and games. CSRD has two main sister concern bodies namely, Prastuti and Paryaya.Prastuti :Prastuti is involved in working towards achieving a gender equal society by empowering women through various support systems of which vocational training programmes, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) formulations, seminars, theater workshops and skill development courses are a few. Paryaya :Is an exclusive unit for solid waste management, "Paryaya", meaning alternative. Paryaya, as an alternative to plastic, manufactures paper bags, cotton bags, files and other eco-friendly products. It is a demonstrative center for college students, SHG groups, voluntary organizations and farmers. .
