Established in 2001, CTC recruitment was at the time a new concept in recruitment for the arboricultural industry and consequently was an instant success. Based in Shrewsbury the company has a large internet presence and is active in visiting colleges and attending industry events. After 20 years of trading the company now has more than 5000 arborists and 600 employers registered and using its specialist recruitment software CTC can accurately match clients and candidates.As a small niche industry Arboriculture is not suited to traditional recruitment practices. Advertising alone often fails to find a suitable candidate due to the small number of arborists who may be actively looking and the large number of job advertisements placed by employers – especially on the industry job boards.
