Kristy Del Coro and Jackie Topol began their work together as co-founders of an annual Culinary Nutrition Conference, starting with a small pilot conference in 2017. The conference was designed to bring the nation's top culinary nutritionists and chefs together to provide education for RDNs and other healthcare professionals on how to use innovative cooking techniques and ingredient combinations to enhance their impact as educators and food experts.Due to overwhelming response from the nutrition community, the conference quickly grew, subsequently held in partnership with the Institute of Culinary Education to accommodate more attendees and starting in 2020, virtually to even further expand our reach. Because of all the positive feedback we've received from both our in-person and virtual events, it is clear that our community wants more culinary nutrition resources. We have created this new platform, the Culinary Nutrition Collaborative, to offer more continuing education programs throughout the year as well as project-based consulting services.
