The Culture Fund was established and registered as a Trust in 2006 to contribute to the growth and development of the culture sector in Zimbabwe through provision of financial and technical support to cultural practitioners, institutions and activities. The Cutlure Fund supports the following organisations within the Arts and Cutlure sector Film & Audiovisual & Multimedia ProductionCultural Heritage Fine Arts and Crafts Cultural Industries Literature and Languages Performing Arts The Cutlure Fund envisions a dynamic, diversified and sustainable culture sector imbued with Zimbabwean values and identity, which contributes towards wealth creation. The Fund supports Zimbabweans or permanent residents of Zimbabwe with legal status as follows:• Individual cultural agents operating independently or as a registered company• Artists who work in groups• Cultural organizations• Cultural institutionsApplicants can obtain application forms from the Culture Fund offices in Harare, or from the Provincial Arts Managers of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe and Provincial Cultural Officers in the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture in their provincial offices throughout the country. The Culture Fund generally awards grants of around US$3,500 with a maximum of US$20,000.00. Each organisation, institution, group or individual may be awarded only one grant per twelve-month period. Submissions for funding applications are welcome throughout the year.
