The CUNY I-Corps Site's goal is to nurture and support multiple local teams as they commercialize their research or technology using our network of mentors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors. CUNY I-Corps provides the infrastructure, advice, resources, networking opportunities, training, and modest funding to enable groups to transition their work into the marketplace or become an I-Corps Team applicant. Our site comprises of the CUNY colleges, the CUNY technology transfer office and the local CUNY entrepreneurial programs. Through the New York City Regional Innovation Node's (NYCRIN) partnership with Columbia University and New York University, we are able to connect skilled researchers to valuable resources through the regional I-Corps program. We focus on building the innovation capacity of CUNY's academic institutions, while developing a formal, active, local innovation ecosystem that contributes to the regional and national economy. Through technology commercialization, we will help advance NSF's I-Corps activities and contribute to the development of the next generation of innovators. .
