On a curved bench, under a tree. That's where 11 film school students were sitting – eating Oporto – when we decided to start a collective, one where we could take what we were learning in class (and in LIFE, ya dig?) and go make some films already.We're interested in telling contemporary stories that reflect the experiences of diverse young Australians – authentic stories, stories with heart. We're a motley crew ourselves, hailing from all over the country with all sorts of backgrounds and interests and stuff.We look for new audiences, aim for fresh perspectives and play around with cool, alternative approaches to content creation and distribution. And we're not just about the final product - we're curious about the process and share what we learn along the way.Basically, we're still figuring it all out. If this were a coming-of-age flick, we'd be deep into our experimental phase. And that's the best bit – anything could happen.Curved Bench Productions was founded by Nicole Hutton, Pippa Whishaw, Oliver Roach, Kristen Settinelli, Josh Brennan, Adam Chesher, Brittney Morris May, Zion Garcia, Zoë Dubuc and Mia Tikellis.
