Cut the Papaya was founded in 2007 by Colombian Camila Jiménez Villa, Peruvian Silvana Aguirre and Spaniard Cristina Escoda upon graduating from the National Film and Television School in London.The company was born to provide a fresh and collaborative platform to develop film projects between the UK, Spain, Colombia and Peru.Cut the Papaya works with reduced crews and small budgets. We believe in a minimal, risky, yet narrative storytelling.Since its birth, Cut the Papaya has produced a collection of short films that have screened at numerous international festivals, winning several awards.At the moment Cut the Papaya is developing its first two feature projects and working on the post-production of the two short films "Flycatcher" and "Alijuna".
