Cyber Motorsports USA was formed by Earl Cook in 1994 as a place where the photography, products, and websites created by Earl & Gail Cook could be presented. The couple created one of the world's first multimedia titles, Ferrari 333 SP ~ A Close Look, in 1994. This title was also one of, if not the first, multimedia titles sold by the new at the time, Amazon.A highlight of the firm was during the glory days of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and the Petit Le Mans (PLM), held at nearby Road Atlanta. Billionaire, Don Panoz, knew Earl & Gail as their website coverage of the inaugural PLM in 1998 helped make this event an international success. At a time when it was taking six weeks to get news and photographs of sportscar events, Cyber Motorsports cut the time down to six hours. This coverage was so successful that the Media Director of the ALMS requested that the PLM coverage be delayed by 24 hours so as to not interview with the live television coverage. In those early days before the international photographers showed up, Earl had track access and media room full access. He used these events to test new digital cameras and video cameras and new techniques for websites and sharing. Earl was the first photographer in the world to cover the PLM with digital equipment. By the second year, nearly all the photographers were shooting with digital equipment.Earl's photographs from Turn 6 at Road Atlanta produced some of the top racing photographs in the world. From behind a concrete wall about 10 feet from the track, Earl photographed the cars as they approached the corner close to 200 MPH. Since NASCAR bought the track, this favorite spot is now a no-man's land and no one is allowed to shoot from there. The CD was sold through the boutiques of Ferrari dealers around the world. Two of the top sellers were Ferrari of Atlanta and Ferrari of Hollywood.
