Cyber-Physical Systems Security Institute (CPSSI) is a non-profit, independent, by-invitation-only research and educational organization focused on practical and theoretical solutions to the cybersecurity challenges facing Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) such as Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Robotics, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Drones, Embedded Devices, Implanted Medical Devices and others.In recent years Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) have emerged as mission-critical elements in industries such as energy, automotive, healthcare, aerospace, financial services, transportation, infrastructure and others. Compromises of Cyber-Physical Systems are rapidly increasing in frequency in severity. Unlike most of the traditional information security data breaches, compromises of cyber-enabled real world systems can put at risk lives, well-being and the environment. Cyber-Physical Systems Security Institute believes that in the coming years the threat of CPS compromises will dwarf current privacy and cyber-financial crime threats. These challenges demand a multi-disciplinary approach across cybersecurity, engineering, law, social sciences and hard sciences.
