It is well-known fact that plastic waste in the oceans is hazardous for every form of marine life and also to human beings. Several washing-machine producers in Australia do not have a sustainability plan to reduce micro-plastic in drain water before its discharge. D-tech Philter Co aims to undertake this mammoth but achievable task of reducing micro-plastic. It has a patented vibrating filter technology – an innovative way of capturing the micro-plastic in drain water before its release to the environment resulting in a substantial reduction of micro-plastic. This filter can be easily installed at the drainpipe of a washing machine. Based on the application, this vibrating filter has two product categories. The first category is for domestic use and sold under the brand name Tersus_H and the other category is for industrial use and sold under the brand name Tersus_C. Both products employ a filtration system consisting of an array of filters and motors to generate vibrations and create turbulence in the effluent to form a thorough mixture, resulting in avoidance of coagulation. D-tech Philter Co is dedicated to offering free installation as per customer requirements to minimize the risk of leakage. Additionally, filters would be replaced at the end of their useful life. D-tech Philter Co plans to launch a scheme of subscription, which will undertake inspection of the filters and replacement if needed for optimum performance.
