D2V Entertainment is an award winning film production company based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded by Stephen de Villiers in 2014 as the production vehicle behind his latest short film, Super Sounds, D2V Entertainment was officially incorporated in 2015 and is currently developing a slate of short and feature films while servicing high end video production for brands and organisations.Stephen de Villiers is a South African born, Australian based writer/director with 15 years experience in the film industry. He is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and his filmography lists 10 short films, one short feature and two documentaries. Among these are his award winning and internationally distributed Commando, a period piece Boer War drama and Super Sounds, which has won awards and screened internationally at over 25 film festivals. As a director, he is privileged to have worked with some of South Africa and Australia's top actors, including Ian Roberts (Tstosi), Sean Cameron Michael (24, Black Sails) and Leanna Walsman (Star Wars, Ep 2). Past festival highlights include screening as part of the Short Film Metrage at Cannes, while Super Sound has screened at a number of top film festivals, including Giffoni (Italy), Sequence Court-Metrage (France), Flickerfest (Sydney), Byron Bay and the San Francisco International Film Festival.D2V Entertainment is currently collaborating with award winning Adelaide production company, Epic Films on a feature film adaptation of Commando, Deneys Reitz' journal of the Anglo-Boer War. The film is an epic adventure survival tale and is slated for production in 2017.
