Daedalus Energy is an entrepreneurial and dynamic enterprise committed to providing a tangible contribution to renewable energy solutions. Since inception in 2008, Daedalus Energy has drawn on aeronautical engineering and commercial enterprise experience to develop a unique technology concept that aims to provide a consistent and reliable source of clean energy. This technology is being developed as the Daedalus Energy Flagship Project – known as the "Energy Capture and Transmission Systems (ECATS)" project.\\By extracting power from the Jet Streams, which are highly prevalent at altitudes of around 30,000ft (circa 9km), Daedalus Energy will harness these consistent winds which travel in excess of 140 km/h on average.\Australia is an ideal location to take advantage of this high altitude wind resource, due to its access to these reliable winds, its topography and sparse population density. It should be noted that this resource is not limited to Australia, and that high altitude wind resources are in abundant supply around the globe.
