Dakshin Institute of Management Sciences and Dakshin Institute of Law operate under the Dakshin Group of Institutes offering programs in Management, Infrastructure Management, Information Technology and Law. Out vision is to provide a best in class value based learning platform in all branches of education over a period of time with substantive research using world class infrastructure.For us, the promoters of KRISHNA CHARITABLE EDUCATION TRUST, (A Trust established under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882) this concern was primary and there were several other concerns which motivated us to take this as a challenge and delve on education vertical as prospecting business model. We selected the southern part of India as an opportunity, although this part of the country has seen great strides in education vertical business. We also decided on a long term prospect to move away from urban India to rural India and visioning the campus in a salubrious environment, at least for the next twenty years. The cost of education is also a concern since land cost is prohibitive and unaffordable in urban India.We selected Markanam as nodal point which stands at equal distance from Pondicherry and Dindivanam and has a vibrant pattern to enable education. We are in the process of developing the layout and create the Master plan and shall be able to freeze it in the next few months. We have anointed this initiative as "Dakshin". There is synergy for this term with our location as well. We have created a logo which reflects the softness of our concern and sharpness of the product "Knowledge" for our customer, the student community.The sharpness of knowledge which shall be our motive requires the ability of our faculty and students, to sharpen it and maintain it that way. This sharp mind of our proud country shall then move the world.
