The Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies is an academic journal that publishes work from current law students and recent graduates. Established in 1991, it is one of the oldest journals of its kind in Canada, promoting reflection and debate on contemporary legal issues for more than 25 years. Our articles have been cited by Canadian courts across the country, including the Supreme Court of Canada.The DJLS is published once per academic year and is indexed in the country's leading databases including HeinOnline, CanLii, the Index to Canadian Legal Literature, and WestLawNext Canada.The DJLS maintains the highest standards for academic publishing including a double-blind review process. Its editorial board is entirely student-run, with assistance from faculty at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
