CtC Architects was established in 2013 with the aim of creating comfortable buildings that are designed from the inside out, responding directly to the needs of the people who use them, whilst also having regard to the surrounding context. The practice believes in a 'fabric first' approach whereby the building envelope is highly energy efficient, reducing the need to rely on fuel energy to control the internal environment. The tried-and tested Passivhaus principles are applied to their designs. Opportunities for natural light, passive ventilation and cooling are also fully explored ensuring minimal environmental impact and maximum sustainability.
