Industrial designer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá / Colombia / 1998).Was born in Bogotá in 1976, lives in San Juan de Pasto, south of Colombia; city where his family is raised. Once he gets graduated his final project "Morphos" is selected for New Designers 1998 in United Kingdom, where Colombia is invited country of honor. The same year turns back to San Juan de Pasto, where begins to teach design as part time teacher at Design Department, School of Arts, Universidad de Nariño; and works as design consultant for craft works at the Laboratorio Colombiano de Diseño LCD (Colombian Design Laboratory); developing different products for carving, ceramics, stitching, etc. In 2000 wins the Lapiz de Acero design award, for his product "panera linares" (linares breadcase) in the craft works category. This product was developed working at LCD. In 2002 starts working as full time teacher at the Universidad de Nariño. In 2003 starts a Master in Design at Domus Academy, in Milan, where he works with Francesco Binfaré, Andrea Branzi, Setsu Ito in several projects. In December gets the Master diploma with distinction for his final project, which is leaded by Stefano Giovanonni. In 2004 comes back to his small home town to continue his work at the Universidad de Nariño. In 2008 traveled to México, and worked all year long as visiting professor in the Industrial Design Program at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Toluca. Some of his projects where published in mexican design magazines such as Revista Ambientes and REDiseño. From 2009 to 2013 returns to teach at Universidad de Nariño, where collaborates one year as design department director, with the Industrial Design and Graphic Design progrmas in charge. In 2014 moves to Buenos Aires, and start a PhD in Design at the Communication and Design School of the Universidad de Palermo. Until today he works as a teacher and designs furniture, lighting and accessories pieces.
