The Danish Research Centre for Migration, Ethnicity and Health (MESU) is a part of University of Copenhagen - and was established on the 1st of January 2010 based on an appropriation from TrygFonden.The vision of the Danish Research Centre for Migration, Ethnicity and Health (MESU) is to improve endeavours directed towards refugees and immigrants' health by strengthening interdisciplinary research, teaching, and communication of information regarding health and also by strengthening both research into disease causes and the health service's efforts among migrants and ethnic minorities. Intense focus will be on the role of social inequality and ethnicity in migrants and ethnic minorities' health and on the importance of the migration process, including the connection between conditions in the migrants and ethnic minorities' countries of origin and those of the recipient country.
