DVA promotes cooperation between Denmark and Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and encourages friendship between the people of these countries. We are a politically independed Association, cooperating with all official bodies, other NGOs and individuals regardless of political, religious and ethnic affiliation. DVAs activities consists of:Children's Rights Project"Rights of underprivileged migrant children in Ho Chi Minh City" is a development project started in April 2014 with a grant of 3,5 million DKK (623,000 US$) over 3 years donated by CISU/Danida. The project promotes the rights of migrant children moving to HCMC, and help them receiving medical care and access to education.The charity collection "Hospital Equipment for Vietnam"The charity supports the hospital in Bao Loc in Lam Dong province (South of Da Lat), with new equipment since 2009.Charity "Shelter Collection" The Charity supports Little Rose Warm Shelter in Ho Chi Minh City - a private organization for girls from 8- 18, who has been sexually abused. They live in the shelter, are rehabilitated and go to school.Cultural events in DenmarkEach year the DVA organizes a number of cultural events, such as lectures, a Vietnam Culture Day, movie nights, exhibitions etc. in order to promote the knowledge in Denmark of Vietnamese culture and society.Vietnam Ajour is DVA's quarterly magazine in Danish.The magazine brings news and articles about development, economy, human rights, culture and travels in Vietnam. It also brings news about our charities and developing projects.Membership: DKK215 yearly, DKK160 for students, pensioners and people of limited means. Further members of the same household costs DKK60. Firms and organizations can be collective members at a subscription rate of DKK600.
