Information Technology and Services - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
The Darebin Enterprise Centre (DECL) was one of the first business incubators in Melbourne, and has been in operation since 1997. In this time we have provided facilities, mentoring and business support to an extensive array of start up and small businesses in Melbourne. We have a general Business Incubator in Alphington, an arts-based Business Incubator in Northcote, an Indigenous Business Incubator, and after identifying a need for coworking space this side of the city, we have started Banyule digiDECL in partnership with Australia Post and City of Banyule.THE NEISDECL is a provider of the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS), a national network under Job Services Australia, offering local entrepreneurs the assistance to attain their business goals. The Darebin Enterprise Centre has been acknowledged for our achievements with the following awards:THE DIGITAL ENTERPRISE PROGRAMDECL is also the provider of the Digital Enterprise program. This program aims to help small-to-medium enterprises and not-for-profit (including local cultural organisations) within Melbourne's North West, Melbourne's Outer East and Geelong. The program will help these SMEs and NFPs within these communities to better understand how they can maximise the opportunities from greater digital engagement, enabled by the National Broadband Network. The program will provide group training seminars as well as one-on-one advice on how participants can use the NBN to make greater use of online opportunities to conduct their existing processes more efficiently and make better achieve their organisational goals. The Digital Enterprise program is an Australian Government funded initiative that is being rolled out locally in conjunction with the National Broadband Network.
