He selected the prologue from the soundtrack to the movie "Tommy "which provided listeners with an intense train sound separation effect just before Tommy's birth occurred symbolizing a new era for the station, now in stereo. Throughout its history, the station has been staffed by volunteer students, alumni, and members of the general community. The General Manager and Chief Engineer are paid positions, while Station Manager and Program Director are student positions with stipends on tuition. Other management members include Website & Technology Director, Production Director, and Operations Manager.
