Founded in November 11, 2016, Daughters of Kenya (DoK) is a Kenyan National Trust organization guided by Christian Values working towards improving and changing the lives of the vulnerable girls and young mothers in Kenya. DoK was established as a Kenyan Charitable Trust incorporated under the Trustees (Perpetual Succession) Act Cap 164 of the Laws of Kenya. DoK implements its programs in Kajiado, Machakos, Narok and Nairobi counties targeting the Vulnerable Girls and Young Mothers.Daughters of Kenya implements its programs in Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos and Narok Counties targeting the Vulnerable Girls and Young Mothers. Vulnerable Girls aged 5 – 18 years and young mothers aged 12 – 35 years are targeted in four Strategic Programs namely; Education and Life Skills Training, End Violence Against Girls and Women (Social Protection), Sexual Reductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Livelihood and Economic Empowerment for Sustainability (Sustainable Livelihoods). DoUK has a keen interest especially to those who at risk or already going through harmful practices such as female genital mutilation, child marriage, sexual exploitation and Gender based Violence. It has a commitment to eliminate all forms of violence, combat traditional and harmful practices and foster the general respect of human rights in Kenya.
