Museums & Institutions - Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
The Dauphinois Museum, installed of the slopes of the Bastille of Grenoble, in the Sainte-Marie d'En-Haut convent, inscribes its action in the close relationships it maintains with the original and newly-arrived inhabitants of the Dauphinoise Alps, as well as their passing guests. The museum is a place to investigate every period of alpine history; it is also a place to reflect on our own time. Every year two to three exhibitions, always enriched by publications, conferences and debates, explore the fields of regional, rural or industrial heritage, as well as archeology.
