De Ambitieuze Student (DAS) Details
De Ambitieuze Student (DAS) is a student collective of ambitious, talented, knowledgeable university students, originating from three of the largest student associations (Audentis, Taste, Alpha) and the two biggest sports associations (DHC, Euros) in the city centre of Enschede and campus of Twente University. Beside a platform for ambitious students, DAS is a political student party with seats in the University Council in Enschede. In 2015, DAS won four of nine seats by collecting and gaining electoral student participation. In DAS's second year in 2016, the party won three seats, providing a second year of ambitious student participation. In the university council and in life, DAS aims for a student life beside studying and the possibility of exploring business life, commission work, event planning and board experience while studying fulltime. In order to achieve this, DAS aspires flexible education, easy access to information and the co-creation of educational programmes while balancing formal work ethics and informal relationships in student life.
