With headquarters in Singapore and offices in the diamond centres of Israel, Belgium, Hong Kong and Mumbai, De Beers Auction Sales sells approximately 10 per cent of De Beers' rough diamond production by value on a spot and forward contract basis using innovative online auctions. De Beers Auction Sales pioneered the approach in 2008 when we broke with 44 years of direct sales to hold the diamond industry's first online auction sale. It currently serves one of the largest and most diverse customer bases in the industry with over 800 registered customers - from rough traders, manufacturers and sellers of polished, to jewellery manufacturers and retailers.
