De Heidebrouwerij has been founded in 2012 and it all started in the kitchen for the soldiers who were housed in the former army barracks, located in Ede (Maurits Noord). At the opening, the former kitchen was set up as a brewery with a tasting room. We are a Dutch local microbrewery and our recipes are tastefull and yet still very drinkable. We aim to give each beer a regional character, either by processing traditional regional products such as honey or by using barley and/or hops grown in the region.Meanwhile, De Heidebrouwerij has grown into a strong regional player amongst the Dutch breweries with an international clientele. Now, after the celebration of our first lustrum, the demand has grown so incredibly, year after year, that the production of our traditional beer is spread over different locations. And nothing shows that the growth will stop.
