Etablissementen de Ronde & Drubbel nv/sa was founded by John de Ronde sr. and Charel Drubbel in 1941 in Antwerp, Belgium. Buying, repairing and selling second hand tractors in the Antwerp harbour was the company's first activity. While Charles was a real handy man, John was a commercial genius and a man with ideas. As time passed by, John sr.'s son, Buddy de Ronde sr., joined his father's company in the early sixties. Under his influence and as result of technological development, the company's focus shifted towards material handling. In 1968, De Ronde was named exclusive importer of the German brand Steinbock Forklifts. Whilst John sr. and Charel retired, Buddy sr. kept developing the company and expanded their product range with warehouse and storage equipment. It did not take long until the family owned business welcomed their third generation's members. In 1988 and 1990 respectively, John de Ronde jr. and Martine de Ronde followed in their father's footsteps. A new milestone occurred in 2012, when the company became the exclusive importer for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks in Belgium. Under their leadership, the De Ronde brand developed itself further to the all-round warehouse partner they are today, representing A list brands such as Mitsubishi, CORDES, Hofe, Rosss, DEC and many more.
