Dead Writers Theatre Collective is a not-for-profit performing arts collective comprised largely of Chicago-based directors, designers, actors and playwrights producing and performing works either by or about dead writers with a Masterpiece Theatre style aesthetic. What makes us unique is that we only present works by or about dead writers. The writer is the primary artist in the process and all aspects of the production and decisions made radiate from this point. We are committed to bringing the aesthetic back to the classics through fully staged, period accurate and highly detailed masterpiece theatre-style productions.
