Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF) is a world governing body for international deaf basketball in cooperation with the FIBA, International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) and its confederations. DIBF shall be an independent association composed of the National Organisations governing deaf basketball.The DIBF was formed in 2002 and they are led by deaf leaders with the purpose of raising standards and to focus on the core talents of deaf basketball players and deaf referees. This was achieved by providing international clinics and development camps for the deaf, and by conducting championships, and managing international deaf referees. Basketball is now, arguably, the fastest growing sport in the world.
