Hearing Assistive TechnologiesDEAFx.org was founded in 1998 as an institutional review board to conduct, monitor and evaluate clinical trials of assistive technologies aiding sensorineural, conductive, mixed and neural hearing loss.DEAFx.org provides Audio Informatics as a Service solution options. We partner with best of breed technology vendors to deliver turnkey audiological architectures and services. We provide the people and the processes required to conceive, design, test and then deploy audio informatics via channels. We begin by validating marketplace potential, requirements and documentation, as well as adoption sustainability. We then enter the proof of concept stage. Partnering with therapeutic and diagnostic portfolio companies, our end-state is the design of disruptive technologies in audio informatics for teaching hospitals and research labs. Our planning phase moves from proof of concept to ITIL-reference architecture design with clear service definition. The development stage entails Medical Device formation combined with Medical Telemetry applications, culminating in system configuration and API integrations where applicable. All devices must provide seamless scalability in compute. Certified infrastructures and validated applications in MDDS are employed. Upon device completion, the dev/test/beta cycle begins. In Audio Informatics as a Service examples, API integration is employed in an ITIL production environment.Beyond finalized architecture and testing, the final step is to facilitate consumption of services. To bring services to market, turnkey design guides are provided by our technology architects to a channelized portfolio of companies including system integrators and distributors, to market both devices and cloud-based Audio Informatics as a Service offerings to research labs, hospital systems and foundations.
