Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) is run by students, for students, and is independent from the University. DUSA was formed in 2001 with the amalgamation of five different student associations across all Deakin campuses. We are the student voice at Deakin University and in the broader community we connect with. We work hard to ensure students' needs are paramount in all University decisions. DUSA operates on all Deakin University campuses (Burwood, Geelong Waurn Ponds, Geelong Waterfront, Warrnambool and Cloud) through a structure of an elected Student Council supported by operational staff. DUSA is an incorporated body under the Associations Incorporations Act, and is a membership-based organisation. DUSA's main areas of focus include student rights, activities, welfare, clubs and collectives and campaigns. The advancement of the education of Deakin University students is support by DUSA through enhancing the learning experience of students while at university, promoting the student interests and welfare, co-ordinating and supporting the activities of students and promoting accessible amenities and services for members and Deakin students.
