The blog is a culmination of the hard work of a team of dedicated students of National Law University Odisha, Cuttack having interest in the domain of competition law. We felt the need for such a blog as there are only a few blogs which caters to the needs to students, academicians and professionals alike regarding all the developments to this specialized branch of law. Further, the blog will try to provide information in a easy to read format which is not only informative but also accurate. It will also talk about the all the relevant economic concepts which have a deep impact in this field so that even newcomers or those who are in the process of learning about this branch are also benefited.The main aim of the blog is to write about the current happenings in this field, not only in India but also around the world. The growth of competition law or anti-trust laws differs from country to country and from continent to continent. There is the USA and the EU which have a robust regulatory mechanism and a host of laws to ensure fairness and transparency while there is Australia which is aiming for a major overhauling of their system and India, which changed its laws in the early 2000s post the liberalization of the country's economy, then there are also countries like Brazil and Russia which implemented its laws in the last few years.The team of student comprises of Anjuli Marwah, Ujjawal Satsangi, Rishabh Amber Gupta, Ashutosh Kumar Srivastava and Meghmala Mukherjee, all students of the 5 years B.A.LL.B. or B.B.A.LL.B. program of National Law University Odisha. All of them not only have an interest for anti-trust laws but also want to contribute something meaningful to this field.
