Deep Arctic Water BV is an innovative company that supplies equipment, installations as well as project management and know-how of greenhouses on open water. Currently, Deep Arctic Water is the only company that is able to provide the complete technology as well as project management regarding to greenhouses on open water. In the structure we make use of multiple layers of farming. Starting with fish farms in the salt water in the lowest parts of the structure. In the next layer we grow algae's that produce oil and secures a large part of the energy demand. In other sections of this layer saltwater production is being exploited for food production. In the layer above we make use of hydroculture based on sweet water. The animal farms like chicken and pig farms are in the next layers. Finally you will see the top level in which the normal European and Asian vegetables are being produced. Energy will also be produced with the conversion of organic and liquid residue into biomass, and with the complete outside ring covered with solar cell foil. The biggest advantage for a greenhouse on open water: 1. It is much cheaper than normal greenhouses, the ROI in 3-5 years; 2. It can produce almost all European, and Asian vegetables, and flowers; 3. It is very flexible and resistant to any pollutions / disasters; 4. It can also be used as a production base for aquaculture (fish, and alges); 5. It creates work opportunities for regions with comparatively lower labour cost.
